Innovation Camp

Brief Introduction:

Students will be introduced to design thinking, CAD, digifab, pcb manufacturing, programming, moulding and casting, prototyping through series of project based skills.

Throughout the camp, the participants will experience the steps of an intense innovation process.

3D Printing & Laser Cutting

Brief Introduction:

Students will focus on improving the digital maturity of core manufacturing functions across product and asset lifecycle management, by ideating their idea into virtual world to shape it into product by fabricating it using 3D Printing and Laser Cutting. Throughout the training, the participants will experience the steps of an intense innovation process.

Digital Manufacturing

Duration:

Academic: 80 Hrs (30 Hrs Theory + 50 Hrs Practical)
Corporate: 40 Hrs (15 Hrs Theory + 25 Hrs Practical)

Goals:

Empowering young technocrats of the nation with the latest tool and technology to upgrade their skills and bring their ideas into reality.

Course Content:

  • 3D modeling using NX CAD/CAM software.
  • Introduction and basics of Additive Manufacturing.
  • 3D printing of self-developed model on FAB X/ Ultimaker/ Makerbot Machines/ Stratasys F370.
  • Hands on working with the 3D scanner for manufacturing.
  • Hands on working with CNC plasma cutting machine.
  • Project development using Laser Cutting and engraving machine.
  • Pattern making using 3D milling by SRM 20 and Wood Router onnon-proprietary materials.
  • Hands on the working of Vinyl plotter.
  • Lectures and live demonstration by industry expert.
Prerequisites- Only enthusiasm and zeal is required to learn the tool and develop the skills to be problem solver by creating a innovative product for the community.

Trainee Eligibility

  • Student: No qualification is required but only students must have the interest to learn how to create their ideas into reality.
  • Working Professionals: No qualification is required but only professionals must have the interest to learn how to create their ideas into reality.
Training Outcomes -
  • Independently create 3-Modelling of any components in NX software
  • Independently able to work on 3D printer.
  • Independently able to work on CNC plasma cutting machines, laser cutting and engraving machine, vinyl plotter.
  • Independently work on 3D milling by SRM 20 and Wood Router to create innovative design and pattern on wooden ply according to their field of specialization.
